A Continued Partnership
Ferrari has confirmed the contract renewal of Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen, ensuring his continued role as an official endurance racing driver for the Prancing Horse. At 28 years old, Nielsen has been a key figure in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) since 2023, competing in the number 50 Ferrari 499P alongside Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina, while also racing the Ferrari 296 GT3 in international series.
Historic Achievements
In 2024, Nielsen reached a career-defining milestone by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the wheel of the Ferrari 499P, securing Ferrari’s eleventh overall victory at the legendary race. He followed this with another triumph at the 1812 KM of Qatar in 2025, and so far, has collected ten podium finishes in the championship. Across 41 starts in the FIA WEC, including outings in production-derived cars, he has achieved 12 wins and 23 podiums.
Career Highlights

Beyond his recent endurance feats, Nielsen’s racing résumé is decorated with titles such as the FIA WEC Endurance Trophy LMGTE Am in 2019–20 and 2021, the European Le Mans Series LMGTE championship in 2019, and the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup in 2021. His rise began with victory in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe in 2018, marking the start of a fruitful relationship with Ferrari.
Reactions to the Renewal

Nielsen described the contract extension as both an honor and a responsibility, emphasizing the pride he takes in his achievements with Ferrari—particularly the 2024 Le Mans victory—and his ambition to pursue future successes. Antonello Coletta, Ferrari’s Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti, commended Nielsen’s maturity and determination, highlighting his evolution from Ferrari Challenge champion to a leader within Ferrari’s top-class WEC program.
