Sleek Design and Aerodynamics
The Magma GT Concept features a low front bonnet, a long roofline, and wide rear fenders. These give it a powerful, athletic stance. The cabin narrows into a boat-tail shape, which improves aerodynamics while preserving Genesis’s signature Athletic Elegance.
Genesis integrates functional details seamlessly. For example, the front canards merge with the headlamps. G-Matrix airflow patterns guide air efficiently around the car. The rear diffuser and two-line tail lights complete the striking design.

Balanced Driving Experience
Genesis focuses on controlled, effortless performance. Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke explains that the Magma GT enhances the driver’s ability without overwhelming them.
In short, the concept delivers both precision and excitement. It blends luxury refinement with genuine performance.
Powertrain and Motorsport Ambitions
Although Genesis has not confirmed full specs, reports suggest a turbocharged V8 engine may power the car. This engine might come from the Genesis GMR-001 race car.
The brand expects to release a production version in the late 2020s. The car may use an aluminium monocoque chassis to balance cost and performance. Additionally, Genesis hints at GT-class racing plans, showing the car could perform on both road and track.
Genesis’s Strategic Vision
The Magma GT Concept is a halo car for Genesis. It demonstrates the brand’s engineering, design, and racing ambitions.
Ultimately, the car positions Genesis as a serious contender in the global luxury supercar segment. It signals the company’s intent to deliver high-performance, emotionally engaging vehicles in the years ahead.
