KUALA LUMPUR, October 13, 2025 – BMW Group Malaysia will supply a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) for the Malaysian government’s use during its ASEAN chairmanship in 2025. The company announced the provision today.
The fleet includes the BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport and the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport. Consequently, the Malaysian administration will use these premium EVs for official transport throughout the diplomatic year.

This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). Furthermore, it supports the ASEAN 2025 theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability.” The fleet serves as a practical example of sustainable mobility for other ASEAN member states.
BMW Group Malaysia positions itself as a leading provider of premium EVs in the country. The company’s broader corporate strategy includes a focus on electric mobility and sustainability.
