Ford Brings Ranger WildTrak V6 Turbo Diesel to Malaysia

The Malaysian pickup truck segment has just received a major boost with the launch of the all-new Ford Ranger WildTrak 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel, priced at RM192,888. Introduced by Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, the new model promises more power, refinement, and versatility than ever before.

A New Benchmark in Power and Performance
Equipped with a commanding 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine, the Ranger WildTrak delivers 250PS at 3,250 rpm and an impressive peak torque of 600Nm at 1,750 rpm, setting a new benchmark in its class. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system, it offers six selectable drive modes and four drivetrain modes, ensuring effortless adaptability on city roads, highways, and challenging off-road terrain.

Bold Design with Advanced Features

The exterior showcases Ford’s latest design language with Performance LED lighting, Matrix LED headlamps, signature C-clamp daytime running lights, and a distinctive V6 emblem on the fender. Riding on 20-inch alloy wheels, the new WildTrak exudes rugged elegance.

Inside, the cabin is fitted with a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by SYNC® 4A with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, an 8-inch TFT information display, wireless charging, and a windscreen-mounted USB port for added convenience.

Safety and Driver Assistance Technology
Safety remains a priority with advanced features including Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Post-Collision Braking. These systems provide drivers with greater peace of mind, whether navigating urban streets or venturing off-road.

Lifestyle and Ownership Benefits
According to Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets Executive Director, Sami Malkawi, the new WildTrak is designed to deliver a smoother, quieter drive while maintaining the toughness the Ford Ranger is known for. Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of Auto ConneXion-Ford, described the vehicle as a “lifestyle enabler” that combines bold design, powerful performance, and advanced smart features to meet the diverse needs of Malaysian drivers.
