New iCAUR Parts Centre Opens in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 August 2025 – Following the brand’s impressive debut and the preview of the iCAUR 03, iCAUR Malaysia has entered a new phase with the official opening of the iCAUR Component Hub at the Hicom Industrial Park, Shah Alam. This 88,000-square-foot facility, managed by Chery Corporate Malaysia and shared with OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia, serves as a strategic logistics centre to support after-sales operations and strengthen the dealer network for the new rugged electric SUV brand in Malaysia.

Supporting a Growing Dealer Network

According to iCAUR Malaysia Vice President Emily Lek, the centralised warehouse will support at least 16 dealer partners by year-end, with further expansion planned in 2026. She emphasised that the “Born to Play” philosophy symbolises iCAUR’s readiness from day one, with parts and components inventory built up and backed by a robust global supply chain to ensure the highest after-sales service standards.

Extensive Parts Inventory and Regional Reach
The hub houses more than 10,000 selected spare parts and is also ready to support the regional market, in line with Chery International’s aim to establish Malaysia as a right-hand-drive hub for ASEAN. The facility also aligns with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and the National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2020, which drive the development of next-generation vehicle technologies and automotive innovation in the country.

Public Debut of iCAUR 03 at iXPERIENCE Event
To mark the occasion, the iCAUR iXPERIENCE Obstacle Drive event will return to Plaza Arkadia, Desa ParkCity from 21 to 24 August 2025. It offers the first public test drives of the iCAUR 03 two-wheel-drive (2WD) version, powered by a 135kW motor, a 65.7kWh battery, and a range of up to 426km. The high-performance all-wheel-drive (iWD) variant will also be available, delivering 279PS and a 418km range.

Interactive Activities and Exclusive Rewards
Visitors can also enjoy interactive exhibits, a “Guess the Price” challenge, and redeem exclusive prizes. The iCAUR 03 is expected to be priced between RM145,000 and RM155,000, with a fully refundable RM1,000 booking fee. The first 30 customers to make an official booking at the event will receive a limited-edition iCAUR 03 scale model worth RM1,388.

Global Ambitions and Sustainability Goals

iCAUR is a global electric vehicle brand created through a partnership between Chery and SmartMi Tech, combining bold design, smart technology, and strong driving performance. Unveiled globally at Auto Shanghai 2025, iCAUR aims to operate in 100 countries with over 2,000 sales and service centres worldwide by 2028, while supporting Malaysia’s ambition to achieve 80% EV adoption by 2050.
