Garagisti & Co, a newly founded British supercar startup, has unveiled its ambitious GP1 hypercar, signaling a nostalgic return to analogue purity much like 1980s and ’90s icons. Though renderings are the only concrete glimpse into the car so far, the GP1 concept promises a standout package centered on driver engagement rather than high-tech gimmicks.
Lightweight Carbon Monocoque Construction

The GP1 is underpinned by a carbon monocoque developed by Dexet Technologies, whose expertise in lightweight, performance-oriented chassis—with roots in both Formula One and endurance racing—is a major asset.
A Naturally Aspirated V12 Heart
Power is supplied by a bespoke 6.6-liter naturally aspirated V12 crafted in collaboration with the Italian specialist Italtecnica. This engine, free of turbos and hybrids, delivers a thrilling 789 to 800 horsepower around 9,000 rpm and produces about 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, accompanied by a motorsport-inspired soundtrack.
Pure Manual Driving Experience

The drivetrain continues the analog theme with a six-speed manual gearbox supplied by XTrac, reinforcing the GP1’s focus on raw driver connection. Brembo contributes the braking hardware, while Öhlins handles suspension duties, ensuring race-proven components underpin every aspect of performance.
Design Inspired by Wedge-Era Icons
Visually, the GP1 is a love letter to wedge-shaped supercars, blending design references from icons like the Lancia Stratos Zero and Lamborghini Countach, as well as modern hypercars from Rimac and Pagani. The design, led by Angel Guerra—formerly of Bugatti and Rimac—evokes the sleek lines of the past while incorporating one of the largest rear diffusers ever fitted to a road car.
Light Weight, Touring Capability

Despite its performance focus, the GP1 isn’t just a track toy. With a dry weight target around 1000 kg, it’s more than 40% lighter than many modern V12 giants and promises both comfort and touring capability.
Ultra-Exclusive Production and Price
Garagisti & Co plans an extremely limited run of just 25 road-going GP1s at a price of approximately £2.45 million plus taxes (about $3.3 million USD). The first twelve buyers will join the “Open Doors” program—an exclusive experience granting access to engineers, designers, and the assembly process across Europe.
The Philosophy Behind the GP1
As Mario Escudero, co-founder of Garagisti & Co, puts it: “What if the golden age of analogue supercars never ended? What would the great cars of the ’80s, ’90s and early 2000s look like today if they’d evolved with new technology but kept their analogue soul? The GP1 is our answer.”
A Bold but Challenging Dream
While the GP1 remains at the stage of renderings and early engineering, bringing such a specialized hypercar to life is notoriously difficult. Still, with the pedigree of its collaborators and its devotion to analogue purity, the GP1 stands out as one of the most intriguing supercar projects of 2025.
