Porsche 911 Was This Country’s Most-Sold Vehicle Of 2024

In 2024, the Porsche 911 emerged as Andorra’s top-selling vehicle, with 83 units sold, accounting for approximately 3.5% of the nation’s total new car sales of 2,379 units. This is a remarkable feat for a luxury sports car, especially in a country with a population of around 81,000.

Andorra’s unique economic landscape, characterized by a prosperous banking sector, tourism-driven revenue, and low tax rates, fosters a high standard of living among its residents. This affluence is reflected in the automotive market, where premium brands like Porsche thrive. Notably, Porsche secured three of the top four spots in the country’s best-selling models for 2024, with the Cayenne and Macan following the 911.

The country’s mountainous terrain, featuring winding roads and winter snowfall, may influence vehicle preferences. The Toyota GR Yaris, a rally-inspired, all-wheel-drive hot hatch, ranked second in sales with 47 units, suggesting that performance and handling are valued by Andorran drivers.

From a brand perspective, Mercedes-Benz led the market with 231 vehicles sold, despite not having a model in the top ten. Porsche followed closely with 210 sales, marking a significant 57% increase from the previous year. Ford secured the third spot with 161 vehicles sold.

These trends highlight Andorra’s distinctive automotive market, where luxury and performance vehicles are highly favored, reflecting both the country’s affluence and the driving conditions presented by its geography.
