CFMOTO and Brembo Forge Long-Term Strategic Partnership

CFMOTO and Italian braking giant Brembo have officially signed a long-term strategic partnership to co-develop advanced braking systems for CFMOTO’s mid-to-large displacement motorcycles. The agreement, which was finalized in Hangzhou, China, marks a significant milestone that elevates the relationship between the two brands far beyond a traditional component supplier arrangement.

Co-Development from the Ground Up

The core of this new alliance is early-stage engineering. Under the agreement, Brembo will be deeply involved in CFMOTO’s vehicle Research and Development (R&D) from the very beginning.

Instead of adapting pre-existing brakes to finished bikes, the two companies will collaborate on concept design, performance development, system integration, calibration, and final validation directly alongside the motorcycle’s platform development. This integrated approach ensures that the braking systems are perfectly tailored to different model requirements and real-world riding scenarios, delivering an optimized balance of safety and control.

Bringing Track Technology to the Street

The partnership also paves the way for a much wider application of race-derived braking technologies on future high-capacity CFMOTO models.

Both companies share a deep racing pedigree—CFMOTO actively competes in the Moto2 and Moto3 world championships, while Brembo has been a technological benchmark in motorsport for over 50 years, supplying tailored solutions across the entire MotoGP grid. This shared experience will accelerate the transfer of elite track technology into production motorcycles, enhancing rider confidence on both the road and the track.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Racers

Beyond engineering and product development, the two companies have agreed to expand their cooperation into brand building, motorsport activities, and talent cultivation.

A major highlight of the agreement is Brembo officially becoming a strategic partner for the CFMOTO Talent Project. Through this initiative, both brands will work jointly to support and nurture the next generation of racing talent, reinforcing their shared commitment to motorsport excellence.
