Alfa Romeo’s Iconic Supercar Makes U.S. Premiere

A Star at Monterey Car Week
Italian automotive artistry made a grand entrance at this year’s Monterey Car Week, with the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale taking center stage in the United States for the very first time. Having been officially unveiled in the summer of 2023, this modern reincarnation of a 1960s legend was already sold out before its U.S. debut, and it did not fail to captivate audiences.

Showcased Across Prestigious Venues
Across four of the most celebrated gatherings of the week, the Stradale turned heads and stole the spotlight. Motorlux featured it alongside the Giulia, Stelvio, and Tonale; Hagerty House offered car enthusiasts an up-close encounter at Pebble Beach; The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering displayed it among rare and iconic automobiles; and at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, it even took to the track, honoring Alfa Romeo’s rich racing heritage.

A Modern Revival of a 1967 Icon

Inspired by the original 1967 Tipo 33 Stradale—long hailed as “the most beautiful car in the world”—the revived model lives up to its legendary status. Bold and seductive in design, it embodies the phrase “super-sexy,” as Alfa Romeo’s CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato confidently predicted it would be “sold out in a blink of an eye.” His words rang true, as all 33 units have already found buyers worldwide, including in the U.S.

American Ownership and Personalization
Among the fortunate owners is Texan entrepreneur Glynn Bloomquist. After traveling to Alfa Romeo’s History Museum in Arese, Italy, in May 2024 to finalize his custom configuration, he now awaits delivery of his one-of-a-kind Stradale.

Powertrain Options: V6 or Electric
Performance enthusiasts can choose between two breathtaking versions of the Stradale. The internal-combustion model features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 620 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. For those embracing electrification, a three-motor EV alternative delivers an astonishing 750 horsepower, supported by a 90-kWh battery with a range of up to 280 miles. Both models achieve 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds and boast a top speed of 207 mph.

Exclusivity and Price

While Alfa Romeo has not publicly revealed official pricing, reports suggest that each unit commanded at least €1.7 million (about US$1.8 million). With just 33 examples ever made, the Stradale is destined to remain one of the most exclusive and collectible cars of the modern era.
