Malaysia’s No.1 EV Just Got More Personal

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, has introduced refreshed variants of the best-selling Proton e.MAS 7 in a significant update launched on 2 July 2025 in Putrajaya. With a focus on real user feedback, the new edition of Malaysia’s No.1 EV now comes with enhanced colour options, improved connectivity, smarter in-car functions, and a revamped sales policy to make EV ownership more rewarding than ever.

Exterior and Interior Colour Upgrades

Responding to popular demand, the updated Proton e.MAS 7 features Obsidian Black as a new exterior colour choice, delivering a bold and premium appeal. Inside, the Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green Premium variants now offer an exclusive Alabaster White interior. Limited to only 250 units each, these interior options provide a heightened sense of personalisation and sophistication, continuing Proton’s push toward stylish and user-driven design.

Upgraded Flyme Auto OS and Connectivity

The vehicle’s operating system, Flyme Auto, has been updated to support more third-party applications including Zoom for Cars, izi.TRAVEL, and Vivaldi Browser. Apple CarPlay is now supported in both wired and wireless formats, a much-requested feature among users. The system also retains the last-used settings, creating a more seamless driving experience. While Android Auto is not yet available, it is expected by the end of the year.

Improved Safety and Personalisation Features

The low-speed pedestrian warning system has also been upgraded to include two new sound profiles—Galactic Note and Space Walk—alongside the existing Classical tone. These alerts are designed to improve safety by warning nearby pedestrians when the EV is approaching slowly. Once chosen, the sound profile is stored and replays upon each start-up, adding another layer of driver personalisation.

Customer-Centric Philosophy

Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET, highlighted the importance of customer input in shaping the new e.MAS 7. He stated that the updates reflect the direct influence of customer feedback and mark a continuous effort to refine not just features, but the entire ownership experience. This human-centric design philosophy is central to keeping the e.MAS 7 both intelligent and relevant in an evolving EV landscape.

Power Pack+ Sales Policy Introduced

To further entice prospective EV owners, PRO-NET has rolled out a new “Power Pack+” sales package. This includes a complimentary 7kW home charger, a V2L adaptor, five years of unlimited internet data, extended vehicle and battery warranties, and a RM5,000 trade-in rebate. These additions are aimed at enhancing long-term value for both new and existing customers.

Added Standard Equipment for All Owners

A tonneau cover is now standard for all new e.MAS 7 units, and existing owners will soon receive this practical addition free of charge. It’s a small but appreciated gesture that reinforces PRO-NET’s promise to support and reward its current user base.

Availability Nationwide

The refreshed Proton e.MAS 7 is now available at all authorised Proton e.MAS dealerships across Malaysia. Interested buyers are encouraged to test drive the new model and explore the full range of enhancements firsthand. For more information and updates, customers can visit the Proton e.MAS website or follow their social media channels on Facebook, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, and Instagram.
