Zeekr Malaysia Hosts Inaugural Zeekr Cup Elite Golf Championship, Offers Zeekr 009 as Hole-in-One Prize

Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia hosted the inaugural edition of the Zeekr Cup Elite Golf Championship Malaysia on 7 September 2026, gathering brand owners from Malaysia and China alongside commercial partners and guests following the company surpassing 5,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries in the domestic market.

  • Zeekr Malaysia staged its first Zeekr Cup Elite Golf Championship, featuring an 18-hole format with participants from both Malaysia and China.
  • The Zeekr 009 luxury electric MPV served as the featured vehicle reward for achieving a hole-in-one during the tournament.
  • Customer engagement initiative follows the brand crossing 5,000 total vehicle deliveries in Malaysia and previous sponsorship of the Tropicana Golf Club 32nd Anniversary Cup.

The customer gathering marks an expansion of the premium electric vehicle distributor’s post-purchase engagement programmes, following earlier sports marketing activations that included sponsoring the 10KM category at the Malaysia Marathon 2026 and supporting the Tropicana Golf Club 32nd Anniversary Cup.

Concurrently, the venue hosted scheduled vehicle test drives for attendees, alongside lifestyle workshops and recreational activities tailored for visiting families.

The tournament featured a bilateral customer contingent, integrating owners based in Malaysia with travelling Zeekr owners from China. According to the brand, incorporating international owners is structured to establish regional cross-border customer networks across its operating markets as global vehicle rollouts progress.

The customer engagement push follows Zeekr Malaysia achieving 5,000 total vehicle deliveries within two years of initiating sales operations in the country. The brand’s existing local portfolio comprises three battery-electric models: the Zeekr X compact crossover, the Zeekr 7X mid-size SUV, and the Zeekr 009 luxury MPV.

Eddy Lu, General Manager of Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia, stated that following the delivery of 5,000 vehicles locally, the company’s customer strategy is widening to include shared lifestyle experiences outside conventional vehicle sales and servicing touchpoints, using recreational platforms like golf to foster long-term ties across its domestic and international owner base.
