Sequence of Events

The accident occurred when a motorcycle carrying two students collided with a car that was parked on the emergency lane of the expressway. The impact caused the motorcycle to crash, and shortly after, a second motorcycle, also carrying two students, collided with the first, leading to further injuries.

Casualties and Injuries

Three of the students were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries sustained during the collisions. The fourth student was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and to ascertain why the car was parked on the emergency lane. The incident has sparked public concern over the safety of emergency lanes and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to prevent such tragedies.

Community Mourning

The local community in Jitra is mourning the loss of the young students, with many expressing their condolences to the families affected. The tragedy serves as a somber reminder of the potential dangers on the road and the need for heightened awareness and caution among all road users.
