Only 70 of These Gorgeous BMW Speedtops Will Exist

BMW has taken the wraps off a stunning new creation — the Concept Speedtop, a limited-production shooting brake that masterfully blends classic grand touring design with modern engineering excellence. Debuting at the 2025 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the Concept Speedtop isn’t just a design exercise; it’s headed for a highly exclusive production run of only 70 units, each with a price tag around €500,000.

A Nod to BMW’s Touring Heritage

The Concept Speedtop draws deeply from BMW’s rich legacy of elegant touring cars. With its sleek three-door shooting brake design, it brings a refreshing silhouette that evokes the elegance of iconic models like the BMW 328 Touring Coupé and even elements of the BMW Z8. Up front, the vehicle boasts a pronounced shark-nose fascia, slim LED headlamps, and an illuminated kidney grille, all contributing to a refined yet assertive presence.

The long hood, tapering roofline, and muscular haunches express motion even at a standstill. This careful balance of proportions not only enhances visual appeal but pays homage to the art of coachbuilding — a tradition BMW is reigniting with this model.

Power Meets Precision

Underneath the sculpted bodywork, the Speedtop hides BMW’s most powerful V8 engine — the same motor that powers the brand’s top-tier M models. While exact performance figures have yet to be revealed, expectations are high for a powerplant that matches the car’s dramatic aesthetics with thrilling performance.

On the inside, the Concept Speedtop is all about craftsmanship and luxury. The cabin features high-quality materials and meticulous detailing, including a custom-made Schedoni leather luggage set fitted into the rear cargo area. The interior design emphasizes tactile quality and timeless elegance, ensuring that the driving experience is as emotionally rich as it is technically advanced.

Exclusivity Redefined

Only 70 units of the Concept Speedtop will be built, making it one of the rarest modern BMWs ever produced. Unfortunately for American enthusiasts, regulatory constraints mean this limited-edition model will not be available in the U.S. market. BMW aims to offer it primarily to collectors and connoisseurs who appreciate the fusion of classic design cues and modern-day engineering.

This announcement follows the success of the BMW Concept Skytop, which also debuted at Villa d’Este and later saw a very limited production run. It’s clear BMW is nurturing a new niche — ultra-limited, design-forward machines that celebrate the art of automotive sculpture.

In Summary: The BMW Concept Speedtop is more than just a car — it’s a tribute to heritage, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. With its captivating design, powerful heart, and limited availability, it represents a unique opportunity for collectors to own a handcrafted chapter in BMW’s storied history.
