Exposed: Patent Leaks Bare the Lamborghini Revuelto SV’s Hardcore Aero Ahead of Monterey Debut

Lamborghini’s carefully orchestrated teaser campaign for its next flagship supercar has just been completely bypassed. Just days before its official debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, patent drawings of the highly anticipated Lamborghini Revuelto SV have leaked online, stripping away the camouflage and giving the world a clear look at Sant’Agata’s latest track weapon.

While Lamborghini has been busy dropping shadowy teaser images, these leaked filings show exactly how the brand plans to turn its plug-in hybrid V12 monster into an even more aggressive, track-focused machine.

Form Follows Downforce: The Aero Overhaul

The patent images confirm what spy shots and prototypes at the Nürburgring have hinted at for months: the Revuelto SV is all about managing airflow.

The most striking visual departure from the standard Revuelto is the enormous fixed rear wing. Unlike the active aero setup on the base model, this massive wing features dedicated channels cut into each side to optimize airflow over the rear haunches. Combined with the car’s double-bubble roof, this setup is designed to generate immense downforce, gluing the supercar to the tarmac during high-speed cornering.

Moving to the front, the SV ditches the open, squared lower intakes of the standard car. Instead, it features a much sharper, more angular front bumper with carbon fiber strakes reminiscent of the hardcore Huracán STO. These carbon elements actively split the lower intakes, directing air aggressively backward toward the wheel arches and along the heavily revised side skirts. Completing the track-ready aesthetic is a unique set of center-lock wheels.

Hybrid V12 Power, Dialed Up

While the exterior aero has been thoroughly reworked, the beating heart of the Revuelto SV remains its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors.

In the standard Revuelto, this complex plug-in hybrid system generates a staggering 1,001 horsepower. However, insiders and rumors strongly suggest that the SV variant will see a healthy power bump, with most reports pointing to an output of 1,065 horsepower delivered to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This combination of extreme aero and increased power is already proving lethal on the track. Recently, a camouflaged Revuelto SV prototype, piloted by Lamborghini factory test driver Marco Mapelli, set a blistering lap record of 1:41.6 at the Hockenheimring, proving that the extra downforce is far more than just for show.

Breaking Tradition

Interestingly, the launch of the Revuelto SV marks a slight shift in Lamborghini’s traditional release strategy. Historically, the brand tends to release the Roadster version of a flagship before introducing the hardcore “Super Veloce” (SV) model. By fast-tracking the SV, Lamborghini is clearly eager to prove the ultimate track capabilities of its new hybrid architecture right out of the gate.

Expected to be a highly sought-after collector’s item, production of the Revuelto SV is rumored to be strictly limited to just 1,963 units—a nod to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded.

While the patent leaks may have spoiled the visual surprise, the automotive world is still holding its breath for the official, uncamouflaged reveal on August 14 at Pebble Beach, where the full performance specifications and final aesthetic details will finally be confirmed.
