Perodua Reduces Axia Prices by Up to RM4,700

Perodua has officially announced a significant price reduction across the entire D74A Axia model range, effective starting today, August 3, 2026.

The national automaker implemented these price cuts to pass on tangible value to customers and ease the cost of living pressures faced by Malaysians. According to Perodua President and CEO Datuk Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the price drop is a direct result of continuous improvements in the company’s operational efficiency and close collaboration with local suppliers and partners.

The company stressed that all specifications and quality standards for the Axia remain completely unchanged, as the savings were derived entirely from enhanced process efficiencies.

New Axia Pricing Details

The price reductions vary depending on the specific variant, with the entry-level automatic model seeing the most substantial drop:

  • Axia 1.0G: Price reduced by RM4,700.
  • Axia 1.0X: Price reduced by RM1,500.
  • Axia 1.0SE: Price reduced by RM1,000.
  • Axia 1.0AV: Price reduced by RM500.

(Note: The previous generation budget Axia 1.0 E manual was not mentioned in the price reduction announcement).

This price revision follows a recent move by Perodua in June 2026, where the company reduced the prices of its service maintenance parts and labour charges by an average of 10 percent across all models.
