Plans for a Badminton Academy in Melaka
During her courtesy visit to the Chief Minister’s Office in Seri Negeri, Ayer Keroh, Ee Wei shared her dream of establishing a badminton academy in her home state. The state government welcomed her proposal, acknowledging its potential to nurture new generations of athletes and elevate Melaka’s standing in the national sports arena.
A Historic Achievement for Malaysia
Born on 18 September 2000 in Malacca, Ee Wei has become a trailblazer for Malaysian badminton. Alongside Chen Tang Jie, she became the first Malaysian mixed doubles pair to secure a world championship title, overcoming a strong Chinese duo in Paris to etch her name into sporting history.
