iCAUR 03 Arrives in Malaysia

First iCAUR Model Launched in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 9 September 2025 — iCAUR Malaysia has officially introduced its very first model to the local market, the iCAUR 03. This C-segment SUV is the first fully electric adventure-ready SUV in Malaysia, pioneering the BEV adventure segment with an impressive combination of performance, safety, and versatility.

Philosophy and Brand Identity
Emily Lek, Vice President of iCAUR Malaysia, highlighted that the philosophy “Born to Play” or “Ready to Explore” defines the DNA of every iCAUR model. She added that this launch not only introduces a new model but also debuts a new EV adventure segment globally, with Malaysia as the first market.

Design and Engineering Excellence

The SUV measures 4,406 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. Featuring the i-BOX design language, sharp character lines, dynamic LED lights, and a bold SUV presence, the iCAUR 03 blends form with function. Its 28-degree approach angle, 32-degree departure angle, and up to 55% gradient capability make it fit for both daily drives and rugged conditions.

Robust Structure and Battery Protection

Safety is central, with an aluminum monocoque chassis offering up to 30 years of anti-rust protection and a torsional rigidity of 31,882 Nm—exceeding modern sports cars. The battery is secured by a 4-layer IPx8 protection system, including high-temperature mica ceramic shielding and a reinforced 10mm aluminum base plate.

Powertrain Options and Performance
The iCAUR 03 comes in two powertrain options: a 2WD variant with a rear-mounted motor producing 184 PS, and an iWD dual-motor variant with 279 PS. The 2WD uses a 65.7 kWh LFP battery with a 426 km NEDC range, while the iWD features a 69.8 kWh battery with a 418 km range. Both support 80 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC charging.

Smart Safety and Technology
Equipped with Level 2 ADAS, the SUV offers comprehensive safety features including AEB, ACC, LDW, BSD, and TJA. Additional highlights include a 540-degree Around View Monitor, 50W wireless charging, and NFC access.

Interior Comfort and Entertainment

The cabin is fitted with a full HD central touchscreen powered by the Snapdragon 8155 processor, a 9.2-inch digital cluster, and an optional INFINITY 12-speaker premium audio system. The iWD variant adds ventilated and massage front seats, ventilated rear seats, and a versatile boot capacity expandable up to 1,238 liters.

Warranty and Ownership Support

Owners enjoy a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, plus an 8-year/160,000 km battery and drivetrain warranty. The iCARE insurance program, in partnership with major insurers, offers additional coverage for EV chargers and unlimited towing services.

Pricing and Ownership Benefits
The iCAUR 03 is priced from RM119,800 for the 2WD and RM129,800 for the iWD. A Black Phantom Edition with exclusive body kit and accessories is available for an additional RM20,000. Early buyers before 17 September 2025 will receive exclusive perks, including one year of unlimited charging via JomCharge, a lifestyle package worth RM3,000, and a complimentary Wallbox charger.

Local Assembly and Service Network

Local assembly of the iCAUR 03 will begin in January 2026 at Chery Corporate Malaysia’s Shah Alam plant. By September 2025, iCAUR plans to establish 18 sales centers and 9 full-service outlets nationwide, including Sabah and Sarawak.

iCAUR’s Global Commitment
iCAUR is a global EV brand created through a collaboration between Chery and SmartMi Tech. First unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025, the brand aims to expand to 100 countries with over 2,000 sales and service centers by 2028. In Malaysia, iCAUR supports the government’s NETR and LCMB targets, aiming for 80% EV adoption by 2050.
