From the Road to the Room: Lamborghini Speakers

A Collaboration Between Two Italian Icons
Luxury audio brand Sonus faber and supercar legend Automobili Lamborghini have teamed up once more, but this time their creation is designed for the living room rather than the road. The result is the Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini Edition speakers, a strictly limited run of fifty pairs, priced at €125,000 in Europe (around $130,000 in the US).

Unveiled at Monterey Car Week
The speakers were revealed during Monterey Car Week at Pebble Beach, a showcase for rare cars and luxury products. This collaboration follows Sonus faber’s earlier project of designing the audio system for Lamborghini’s Revuelto hybrid supercar.

Design Inspired by Lamborghini DNA
Drawing on Lamborghini’s bold and angular design language, the Il Cremonese Ex3me features a five-sided diamond-shaped cabinet with carbon fiber detailing, Corsa-Tex® panels, and the iconic Lamborghini shield. Buyers can choose from five bespoke finishes—Giallo Countach, Arancio Egon, Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercurius, and Nero Nemesis Matte.

Handcrafted Italian Excellence

Each speaker is built by hand in Vicenza, Italy, and undergoes final tuning by ear to meet Sonus faber’s highest standards. Due to this artisanal process, delivery requires a minimum three-month wait.

Engineering Meets Performance
The cabinet’s unique geometry not only mirrors Lamborghini design but also optimizes acoustics by minimizing resonance. The system uses a 3.5-way para-aperiodic vented structure, equipped with a DLC-coated beryllium dome tweeter, natural fiber midrange driver, dual woofers, and side-mounted infrawoofers that extend bass down to 25 Hz.

High-End Components and Power
A proprietary crossover, Sonus faber’s Paracross Topology™, combined with premium Mundorf components, ensures precision and clarity. With a 92 dB sensitivity and 4-ohm impedance, the speakers are compatible with amplifiers ranging from 100 to 800 watts. Each cabinet stands 1.45 m tall, nearly half a meter wide, and weighs 84 kg.

Voices from Lamborghini and Sonus faber
Jim Mollica of Bose’s Luxury Audio division described the speakers as a way of blending the emotional experience of driving with high-performance sound. Lamborghini’s Marketing Director Christian Mastro emphasized the partnership as a celebration of Italian heritage, merging artisanal sound craftsmanship with visionary automotive design.

A Statement Piece for Collectors and Audiophiles
With only fifty pairs worldwide, the Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini Edition is as exclusive as the supercars that inspired it. Both a high-fidelity audio system and a sculptural centerpiece, the speakers bring Lamborghini’s spirit of performance and Sonus faber’s mastery of sound into the home.
