RM200K Raised as Toyota Rallies Malaysia in Outrun 2025

Over 6,500 runners gathered in Putrajaya for the fourth edition of the Toyota Start Your Impossible (SYI) Outrun 2025, an event that extends beyond athleticism into a powerful demonstration of community, resilience, and inclusivity. Held on 30 July 2025, this landmark run once again reflected Toyota’s mission as a mobility company dedicated to empowering people and creating a better society.

Supporting the Fight Against Cancer

This year’s SYI Outrun raised RM200,000 for the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), furthering support for cancer awareness, research, and patient care. Since 2020, Toyota has contributed over RM500,000 to the NCSM, reinforcing its long-term commitment to meaningful social causes. According to Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, “Mobility extends beyond vehicles, it is about moving people forward in every sense of the word,” capturing the essence of Toyota’s philosophy behind the initiative.

Introducing New Challenges and Celebrating All Walks of Life

Making its debut this year was the 21KM Half Marathon category, alongside the returning 10KM and 5KM races. These distances symbolised personal growth, strength, and perseverance—echoing Toyota’s global slogan “Move Your World.” Among the thousands who participated were cancer survivors, families running in remembrance, and individuals pushing wheelchairs or running hand-in-hand with elderly parents and children. Groups like Persatuan Pelari Anak Luar Biasa – Little Fighter Runners and Bikeisable added to the event’s inclusive spirit, showing that mobility and hope are for everyone, regardless of background or physical condition.

A Wellness Festival Beyond the Race

The SYI Outrun 2025 was not just a run—it was a celebration of holistic well-being and innovation. The event area featured booths from NCSM, N8 Sports Nutrition, and ATF Sport Taping. Attendees received free health screenings and interacted with Toyota’s latest fleet, including models like the Vios, Yaris G Limited, Hilux GRS, and Corolla Cross HEV. The Gazoo Racing showcase brought motorsport energy to the venue, while the Beyond Zero experience highlighted Toyota’s push for electrified mobility through the display of the bZ4X and Mirai vehicles.

Family Fun, Entertainment, and Recognition

The event catered to all ages, with a bustling kids zone, live percussion performances, photobooths, and lively games led by an engaging emcee. Winners in the 10KM and 21KM categories shared more than RM138,000 in cash prizes, while others walked away with Lucky Draw items worth over RM19,000, including premium tech like a Sony Bravia TV and PlayStation 5. All participants received a high-performance race kit, and 21KM finishers took home exclusive jerseys as a symbol of their triumph.

Driving Forward With Meaning

Toyota’s approach to mobility goes far beyond manufacturing vehicles—it’s about inspiring forward movement in people’s lives. The Start Your Impossible campaign, and events like the SYI Outrun, represent Toyota’s unwavering commitment to making progress inclusive, purposeful, and impactful. Whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone who participated contributed to a larger movement—one that brings hope through mobility.
