Rimac Automobili has delivered a stunning blow to its hypercar rivals by reclaiming the coveted 0–400–0 km/h record with its new Nevera R. The electric hypercar completed the full sprint from standstill to 400 km/h and back in just 25.79 seconds, overtaking Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut’s 27.83-second benchmark by a significant 2.04-second margin. It also beat its own previous record of 29.93 seconds, set by the standard Nevera.
Breaking 23 Additional Performance Records

This wasn’t just about one record—Rimac used the opportunity to smash through 23 more performance benchmarks. The Nevera R hit 0–100 km/h in just 1.72 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 3.95 seconds, 0–300 km/h in 7.89 seconds, and reached 400 km/h in 17.35 seconds, cutting nearly four seconds from its predecessor’s time. It also achieved a new EV top speed record of 431.45 km/h (268.2 mph).
Engineering Upgrades That Drive the Leap
The performance boost came from substantial upgrades to both powertrain and aerodynamics. The Nevera R now pushes out 2,107 hp, thanks to its refined quad-motor system.

Aerodynamic enhancements, including a fixed rear wing and enlarged diffuser, increase downforce by 15%. Handling has been improved through Michelin Cup 2 tires, which reduce understeer and offer 5% more grip, supported by a 100 Hz torque vectoring system that precisely distributes power.
A Statement in the Hypercar Arms Race

This bold move was a direct response to Koenigsegg’s record-breaking run in 2024. Rimac didn’t just reclaim the crown; it did so decisively, underscoring its commitment to dominating electric hypercar performance.

This battle of milliseconds is redefining what’s possible with EVs, and Rimac is once again in the lead.
Limited Production and Stratospheric Price
Only 40 units of the Nevera R will be produced, making it an ultra-exclusive machine. Each unit is priced well above €2 million, targeting collectors and performance purists alike. Despite its aggressive performance, Rimac insists the Nevera R remains a comfortable, road-legal, and usable daily car.
