A Revolutionary Powertrain with Exceptional Range
Chinese automaker Chery is preparing to redefine the plug-in hybrid segment with the upcoming Fulwin A9L sedan. The vehicle is equipped with the Kunpeng Super Hybrid Electric 6.0 powertrain, which pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a stepless DHT Pro transmission. Together with a high-capacity 33.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate “Kunpeng Blade” battery, the hybrid system enables the A9L to deliver a remarkable all-electric range of 260 kilometers and a total combined range of up to 2,000 kilometers—approximately 1,243 miles—on a single full charge and tank.
Advanced Battery and Technology Integration

The Fulwin A9L stands out thanks to its use of Chery’s proprietary Blade battery technology, known for its durability and thermal stability. The integration of this battery enhances not only range but also overall safety and longevity. The sedan also incorporates advanced technology, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8255 chip, delivering high-speed infotainment performance and seamless connectivity.
Smart Driving and Autonomy Features

Chery’s new flagship sedan is equipped with 27 intelligent sensors, including lidar, millimeter-wave radar, and 360-degree panoramic cameras. These components, supported by an Orin Y 200T computing core, enable cutting-edge autonomous functions such as Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), memory-assisted parking, and intelligent obstacle avoidance. The higher trims of the A9L are expected to feature Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, elevating user convenience and safety.
Global Launch Plans and Auto Expo Debut

The Fulwin A9L will make its formal debut at the 2025 Hong Kong International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo. This marks Chery’s first appearance at the event. Global sales are set to begin in early 2026, signaling the brand’s intent to expand beyond China. Company chairman Yin Tongyue confirmed that Chery is preparing for a major leap, aiming to become the first Chinese carmaker to export more than five million vehicles.
Surging Sales and New-Energy Strategy

Chery’s rapid growth continues in 2025, with vehicle sales from January to May reaching 1,026,517 units—a 14% year-over-year increase. Of these, new-energy vehicles (NEVs) contributed significantly, doubling to 287,798 units. Export sales reached 443,940 vehicles, demonstrating the brand’s global appeal. The upcoming IPO will fund further development of NEV technology and global expansion strategies.
A Global Vision for Future Mobility
With a user base exceeding 16.7 million worldwide, Chery is poised to become a major player in the global EV and hybrid market. The Fulwin A9L symbolizes this transition, offering long-range, intelligence-led innovation with a strong sustainability focus. As the brand prepares for international sales in 2026, the A9L could become a flagship symbol of China’s next wave of automotive engineering.
