The model utilizes a dedicated hybrid powertrain pairing a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with twin electric motors and an automated Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), powered by an onboard lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.
Organised by game developer and publisher MOONTON Games, the Legenda Award forms part of broader 10th-anniversary activities for the title. Candidates are assessed against four core regulatory criteria to qualify for the final ballot:
- Long-Term Participation: A verified competitive tenure spanning a minimum of 10 MPL Malaysia seasons, accompanied by ongoing active engagement in the domestic scene.
- International Track Record: Formal representation of Malaysia on regional or international stages as an active athlete, or direct participation in overseas campaigns as a team manager, coach, or on-air talent.
- Professional Conduct: An unblemished disciplinary record with no outstanding behavioral, ethical, or competitive integrity infractions.
- Prior Recognition Status: Candidates must be first-time honourees who have not received the Legenda accolade in preceding seasons.
The final honouree will be announced and presented with the Tiggo Cross HEV during the season’s concluding fixture at the CelcomDigi Dream Stage.
Celeste Lim, Director of Brand and Marketing at Chery Malaysia, noted that as the automaker completes its third year in Malaysia, engaging with competitive gaming platforms allows the brand to connect with younger digital demographics while supporting national youth and talent development objectives. MOONTON Games Head of Market (Esports) Krystal Tan added that partnering with Chery adds significant commercial recognition to an award designed to honor lasting contributions to Malaysian esports rather than single-season achievements.
