PENANG, 7 August 2026 — Tesla Malaysia has activated a new V4 Supercharging station at Queensbay Mall in Penang. The installation features four V4 Supercharger stalls designed to provide DC fast charging for vehicles in the region.
Charging Specifications and Network Coverage
The Queensbay Mall station expands the brand’s charging footprint in northern Peninsular Malaysia:
- Hardware Output: Four V4 Supercharger stalls with peak power delivery of up to 250 kW.
- Charging Rate: Adds up to approximately 311 km of operating range in 15 minutes for Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.
- Authentication: Integrates Plug & Charge functionality through the Tesla mobile application.
- National Network Infrastructure: Tesla operates 20 Supercharging stations (totaling 88 DC stalls) and 18 Destination Charging locations (totaling 76 AC chargers) in Malaysia.
Software and Regional Support
Tesla vehicles in the market include the Grok AI assistant as standard software, which handles voice commands for navigation, climate control, media playback, and vehicle settings.
The charging network operates across regional travel corridors linking Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, accompanied by cross-border warranty coverage, service access, and cellular connectivity.

Tesla’s local vehicle lineup and active commercial offers comprise:

- Referral Program: The Model Y is included in the “Refer and Earn” scheme. Customers ordering via a referral link receive an RM 1,000 price reduction (limited to the first 10 referrals per link), while referring owners receive RM 500 in Tesla credit per completed purchase.
