Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has officially launched the all-new Volkswagen Tayron, arriving as a locally assembled (CKD) model built at the Pekan plant in Pahang. Positioned to replace the outgoing Tiguan Allspace, the Tayron debuts in two distinct variants—the 1.5L eTSI Elegance and the sportier 2.0 TSI R-Line—with prices starting from RM191,000.
To better suit local driving conditions and preferences, Volkswagen has incorporated localized components specifically engineered for the Malaysian market.
First-in-Brand Premium Comfort Features

In a significant milestone for Volkswagen models in Malaysia, the Tayron introduces upscale comfort features previously reserved for higher-end luxury segments. For the first time locally, the SUV comes equipped with front seats featuring an integrated massage function.
Complementing the massage system are ventilated and heated seat functions, lifting the vehicle’s premium appeal and addressing a highly requested comfort upgrade for tropical climates.
Dimensions: Larger Than the Tiguan Allspace
Built on the advanced MQB Evo platform, the Tayron boasts a significantly larger footprint than the Tiguan Allspace it replaces, translating directly to enhanced cabin room and presence on the road:
| Dimension | Measurement |
| Length | 4,792 mm |
| Width | 1,852 mm |
| Height | 1,660 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,791 mm |
Five-Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating
Safety remains a core pillar for the new SUV family vehicle. The Volkswagen Tayron comes backed by a top-tier five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The stringent crash test evaluation highlights the vehicle’s robust structure and active safety suites, scoring exceptionally well across adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, vulnerable road user protection, and its comprehensive array of onboard driver assistance systems.
