Proton e.MAS Dominates H1 2026 with 17,604 Registrations

Pro-Net’s electrified mobility brand, Proton e.MAS, has achieved a massive milestone by recording 17,604 year-to-date (YTD) registrations across its EV and PHEV portfolio for the first half of 2026. This impressive figure stands three times higher than other EV brands in the market. June alone proved to be a standout month, contributing 3,026 total registrations and highlighting a growing shift toward electrified mobility in Malaysia.

e.MAS 7 PHEV Leads the Charge

The e.MAS 7 PHEV remains the primary engine of growth, firmly establishing itself as Malaysia’s number one plug-in hybrid model.

  • June Performance: 1,138 units registered in a single month.
  • Total Volume: 4,074 units registered since its highly anticipated launch in February 2026.
  • Market Demand: The model has already surpassed 11,000 bookings, reflecting strong consumer confidence.

Strong Momentum in the EV Segment

Proton’s pure electric offerings also delivered robust numbers, proving that the brand’s EV lineup is gaining solid traction among Malaysian drivers:

  • e.MAS 5: Recorded 1,309 registrations in June.
  • e.MAS 7: Logged 579 registrations in June, pushing its YTD total to 2,864 units. Since its introduction in December 2025, there are now over 11,542 e.MAS 7 units on Malaysian roads.

The New e.MAS 7 Premium Plus

To further strengthen its market position, Proton recently introduced the e.MAS 7 Premium Plus at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026). This new top-tier variant focuses heavily on elevated comfort and upgraded performance:

  • Extended Range: Upgraded with a larger 68.39 kWh battery that delivers up to 450 km of WLTP range.
  • Faster Charging: Features an enhanced 115 kW DC fast-charging capability, enabling a 30% to 80% charge in approximately 20 minutes.
  • Luxury Upgrades: Equipped with dual front massage seats, a powered front passenger seat with memory function, and an integrated passenger leg rest for premium long-distance travel.

To celebrate the launch and drive further adoption, Pro-Net is offering a limited-time Special Launch Rebate of RM7,000. With this rebate applied, the entry-level Prime variant now starts at a highly competitive RM96,800, while the flagship Premium Plus variant is priced at RM118,800.
