JOHOR, Malaysia — A 51-year-old Singaporean motorcyclist died on Saturday after colliding with a car and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Johor.
Police reported that the motorcyclist lost control while overtaking an MPV on Jalan Batu Pahat–Mersing. He veered into the opposite lane and hit a car coming from the other direction.
The collision caused the car to swerve and strike the same MPV the motorcyclist had just passed. Emergency responders confirmed that the motorcyclist died at the scene.
The 43-year-old Malaysian car driver suffered injuries to his face, chest, and legs and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities reminded all motorists to drive carefully and remain alert to prevent similar accidents. Police also urged any witnesses to come forward to assist with their investigation.
