Is This Proton’s Best Car Ever? The e.MAS 7 Premium Says Yes.

The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium has officially entered Malaysia’s EV market. As the top variant in the e.MAS lineup, it offers strong range, fast charging and many premium features. It also comes with advanced safety technology, making it a competitive option for buyers who want value and performance in an electric SUV.

Stronger Battery and Better Driving Range

The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium uses a 60.22 kWh battery that delivers up to 410 km of WLTP range. In addition, real-world tests show the EV can travel slightly further under ideal conditions. Thanks to its Cell-to-Body battery structure, the vehicle benefits from better efficiency and stability.

Charging is easy as well. With 100 kW DC fast charging, it can go from 30% to 80% in around 20 minutes. Meanwhile, its 11 kW AC charging makes overnight charging simple and convenient for most users.

Smooth and Powerful Performance

The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium is powered by a 160 kW motor that produces 320 Nm of torque. As a result, it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The top speed is 175 km/h, which is more than enough for daily driving and long-distance trips. With a drag coefficient of 0.275, the SUV also moves through the air more easily and uses less energy at high speed.

Premium Features That Add Comfort

Proton included several upgrades to set the Premium variant apart. These features improve comfort, sound quality and driving experience. Some of the highlights include:

  • 19-inch alloy wheels
  • 16-speaker Flyme Sound system
  • Windshield head-up display (HUD)
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Panoramic roof
  • Dual HD screens
  • 360° camera system

Moreover, the EV comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support. With a 3.3 kW output, users can power small appliances, camping gear or outdoor equipment.

High Safety Rating and Full ADAS Suite

Safety is one of the strongest points of the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium. It earned a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating with a high overall score. Besides the standard six airbags, ESC and ABS, it also includes many driver-assistance features.

These features include:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)
  • Emergency Lane Keep Assist (ELKA)
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Lane Change Warning
  • Driver attention monitoring

Together, these systems create a full Level 2 ADAS experience and help make every trip safer.

Strong Warranty and Useful App Features

The Premium variant comes with a 6-year unlimited mileage warranty. In addition, the battery and high-voltage components are covered for 8 years or 160,000 km. Proton also offers the e.MAS mobile app, which provides remote controls, charging maps and service updates.

A Strong Player in Malaysia’s EV Segment

Thanks to its attractive price, long range and rich feature list, the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium is becoming one of Malaysia’s most talked-about EVs. Early interest and strong bookings show that many buyers are ready to switch to electric mobility with Proton’s latest model.
