Proton e.MAS 7 Dominates Malaysia’s EV Market

Strong Sales Momentum and Record Bookings
Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, has announced that the Proton e.MAS 7 continues to reign as Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle for the seventh consecutive month. By 31 July 2025, a total of 4,959 units had been delivered, including 4,689 in Malaysia and 270 exported abroad. July saw a record-breaking 1,365 bookings, marking the model’s highest monthly figure since launch.

Appealing to a Wide Range of Buyers
The e.MAS 7 has found success among diverse customer groups. The Prime variant, accounting for 14% of sales, is popular with urban drivers for its comfort and ease of use, while the Premium variant dominates with 86% of deliveries. Buyers praise the model’s value for money, spacious cabin, safety features, ride comfort, handling, and innovative technology.

Expanding Colour Choices and Customisation
Platinum Silver remains the top choice, representing 25% of orders. In response to demand, PROTON has introduced Obsidian Black, as well as limited Turquoise Green and Quartz Rose finishes paired with a premium Alabaster White interior, offering more personalisation options.

Charging Convenience and Ownership Support

Research shows most Malaysian drivers travel 21 to 40 km daily, meaning e.MAS 7 owners typically recharge only once per week. The Live Integrated Charging Network provides over 3,400 charging points nationwide, covering more than 90% of the country, including 1,100 points in high-rise residences. Owners are also supported by 29 service centres, 10 body and paint centres, and 35 dealerships.

Trade-In Bonus Encouraging EV Adoption
PRO-NET’s Power Exchange programme offers a RM5,000 trade-in bonus on top of the assessed value for any vehicle, regardless of brand or age, making EV ownership more accessible to Malaysians.

Test Drive Opportunities

Customers can experience the Proton e.MAS 7 first-hand by visiting the nearest showroom or booking online. The brand maintains an active presence on social media platforms to keep fans updated.

About Proton e.MAS
Launched on 12 June 2024, Proton e.MAS is Malaysia’s pioneering national EV and new energy brand. As a sub-brand of PROTON distributed by PRO-NET, it aims to lead sustainable transportation efforts through innovation, reliability, and international standards, supported by an expanding dealership network and comprehensive aftersales service.
