Ferrari 849 Testarossa Breaks Cover

A New Chapter in Ferrari’s Legacy
Ferrari has officially unveiled its latest masterpiece, the 849 Testarossa, in Milan on September 9, 2025.

Positioned as the successor to the SF90 Stradale, this plug-in hybrid super sports berlinetta combines a mid-rear twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors to deliver an astonishing 1,050 cv of total power. The name Testarossa draws on more than seven decades of Ferrari history, first used in 1956 and later immortalized in the 1980s by one of the brand’s most iconic road-going models. With this new car, Ferrari not only revives a legendary name but also redefines its future.

Powertrain and Hybrid Innovation

At the heart of the 849 Testarossa is a completely re-engineered twin-turbo V8 engine producing 830 cv, a 50 cv increase over its predecessor. Paired with an advanced hybrid system, the car achieves unprecedented performance. The electric setup includes a rear motor and two front-axle units that work with the V8 to deliver razor-sharp acceleration, torque vectoring, and on-demand four-wheel drive. Together, they provide a total of 1,050 cv, making it the most powerful Ferrari road car ever built. Despite these upgrades, weight remains unchanged from the SF90 Stradale, resulting in the best power-to-weight ratio ever seen in Ferrari’s range.

Design Inspired by History and Aerodynamics

The styling of the 849 Testarossa takes cues from Ferrari’s sports prototypes of the 1970s, blending sharp, geometric lines with modern aerodynamics. At 250 km/h, the car generates 415 kg of downforce, 25 kg more than the SF90 Stradale, while also improving cooling efficiency by 15 percent. From the sculpted doors that function as aerodynamic ducts to the twin-tail rear architecture inspired by the 512 S, every detail combines aesthetics with performance. Inside, the cockpit has been redesigned for greater ergonomics and a more immersive driving experience, featuring a new steering wheel, intuitive HMI, and refined materials.

Driving Dynamics and Advanced Technology

Ferrari engineers have integrated state-of-the-art systems to push driving dynamics to new heights. The ABS Evo and Ferrari’s FIVE digital estimator work together to maximize braking precision, handling, and stability. Suspension geometry has been fine-tuned for improved grip, while advanced calibration ensures smooth transitions between combustion and electric power. The new exhaust system delivers the unmistakable Ferrari soundtrack, enhanced with a richer and more powerful timbre across all rev ranges.

Personalisation and Assetto Fiorano Package
For clients seeking even more exclusivity, Ferrari offers the Assetto Fiorano package, which sheds 30 kg through extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium, while adding aerodynamic upgrades for superior track performance. Unique liveries in Bianco Cervino or Rosso Corsa with a modern gradient stripe design complete the package. Buyers can also choose from new paint colours such as Rosso Fiammante and Giallo Ambra, along with bespoke Alcantara interiors and forged wheel options.

Unmatched Ownership Experience
The 849 Testarossa comes with Ferrari’s seven-year maintenance programme, ensuring the car remains in peak condition with official servicing and genuine parts. Hybrid components benefit from a five-year warranty, extendable through Ferrari’s Warranty Extension Hybrid and Power Hybrid programmes, offering peace of mind and long-term protection for the high-voltage battery system.

The Pinnacle of Ferrari’s Road Cars
With a top speed exceeding 330 km/h, a 0–100 km/h sprint time of under 2.3 seconds, and breathtaking design and technology, the 849 Testarossa sets a new benchmark for Ferrari’s future. More than just a successor to the SF90 Stradale, it embodies the perfect union of history, innovation, and pure driving passion.
