On September 8, 2025, Rimac Technology unveiled a groundbreaking lineup of battery systems, powertrain solutions, and electronics at IAA Mobility in Munich, reinforcing its role as a leading Tier-1 supplier accelerating the electrification of the automotive industry.
Solid-State Battery Innovation
Through collaborations with ProLogium and Mitsubishi Chemical Group, Rimac presented a solid-state battery system that pushes the boundaries of energy density and safety. This new platform integrates ProLogium’s advanced solid-state cells with materials developed by Mitsubishi Chemical Group to deliver a lighter, safer, and more energy-dense solution.
Evo Technology and Advanced Platforms
Rimac also introduced its Evo Technology, a high-performance battery platform built around Next-Gen 46XX Gen2 NMC cells. Co-developed with Kautex Textron, the system uses a thermoplastic composite housing called Pentatonic, improving thermal management and packaging efficiency. Alongside this, Rimac revealed a hybrid battery platform compatible with both 46XX and 2170 cell formats, engineered with a scalable cell-to-pack design that enhances safety, adaptability, and thermal control.
Next-Generation E-Axles
The company showcased its SINTEG 300 and SINTEG 550 single-motor e-axles, achieving more than 8 kW/kg in power density and over 90 Nm/kg in torque density. At the heart of these e-axles is a patented ultra-light rotor capable of spinning at 25,000 rpm, delivering exceptional torque in a compact format. Configurable in coaxial or offset layouts, they provide outputs from 150 to 360 kW and torque ranging from 2,500 to 6,250 Nm, suited for hot hatches, SUVs, and performance cars.
High-Torque Dual EDU for 2026
Looking toward production, Rimac announced that its Dual EM EDU 550, also known as the XXL Axle, will enter series production in 2026. Capable of delivering over 11,000 Nm of axle torque and achieving efficiencies above 95 percent, this e-axle will be built at Rimac’s automated production facility near Zagreb, Croatia.
Cutting-Edge Vehicle Electronics
In the electronics domain, Rimac introduced new domain and zonal ECUs powered by NXP’s S32E2 real-time processors. These controllers consolidate multiple ECUs into a single system, handling torque vectoring, high-voltage battery management, body and power distribution. This architecture reduces cost, weight, and complexity while enabling over-the-air updates—essential for the software-defined vehicle era.
Production at Scale
All these innovations are designed with mass production in mind. Rimac operates more than 95,000 m² of facilities in Croatia, including the €200 million Rimac Campus, which supports large-scale projects capable of producing tens of thousands of units per month.

Chief Operating Officer Nurdin Pitarević stressed that Rimac’s new technologies represent the union of cutting-edge innovation and industrial readiness. These systems are not just prototypes but solutions designed to power hundreds of thousands of vehicles in the years ahead.
