BMW Malaysia Rolls Out Exciting New Motorcycles for 2025

BMW Motorrad Malaysia Launches the New BMW F 900 XR and All-New BMW R 12 nineT

Kuala Lumpur, May 5, 2025 – BMW Motorrad Malaysia has unveiled two exciting additions to its growing lineup of premium motorcycles: the New BMW F 900 XR and the All-New BMW R 12 nineT. These models cater to two distinct segments of riders—those seeking dynamic performance and versatility, and those who appreciate classic design with a modern edge.

Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, expressed enthusiasm about the latest launches. “2025 has already been a thrilling year for motorcycle fans with the earlier introductions of the BMW S 1000 RR and BMW F 900 GS Adventure. Now, with the new BMW F 900 XR and R 12 nineT, we’re addressing the evolving needs of our diverse rider community. The F 900 XR is built for sporty fun and long-distance comfort, while the R 12 nineT brings a timeless roadster experience to life.”

New BMW F 900 XR: Sport Meets Versatility

Designed as a mid-range sports tourer, the BMW F 900 XR combines thrilling agility with long-distance touring comfort. The updated model now features a torsionally rigid upside-down telescopic fork and lighter 17-inch cast aluminium wheels, shedding 3kg in total weight compared to its predecessor. Adjustability for damping and spring preload offers riders a customizable experience across various terrains.

Visually, the F 900 XR is enhanced with an engine spoiler and redesigned front fairing for better aerodynamics, complemented by hand protectors and an optimized wind deflector. Standard features now include a USB-C charging port, heated grips, and the Headlight Pro with integrated turn indicators for improved safety.

Powering the motorcycle is an 895cc, water-cooled, 2-cylinder inline engine delivering 105 hp and 93 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h is achieved in just 3.6 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 km/h.

The F 900 XR also includes advanced safety and rider assistance systems such as Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), ABS Pro, Dynamic ESA, and the Gear Shift Assistant Pro for clutch-less gear changes. Additional conveniences like Keyless Ride and Cruise Control make it a highly practical option for both everyday commutes and extended road trips.

This model is available in a striking Racing Blue/Lightwhite uni finish and is priced at RM 82,500.00 (on-the-road, without insurance).

All-New BMW R 12 nineT: Timeless Design, Modern Performance

The R 12 nineT is a tribute to classic motorcycling heritage, enhanced with modern engineering and customization potential. A newly developed tubular bridge steel frame simplifies the structure, offering a cleaner aesthetic and lighter build. The aluminium tank, brushed side panels, and sculpted tail-hump create a distinctive silhouette, matched with 17-inch light-alloy wheels and chrome-plated headers for a bold visual identity.

Riders benefit from improved ergonomics with a more forward seating position and enhanced handling thanks to the upside-down front fork and radial-mounted brake calipers. The dual analogue speed and rpm gauges, along with USB-C and 12V sockets, blend vintage charm with modern utility.

Under the hood is a 1,170cc, water-cooled boxer engine producing 109 hp and 115 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It reaches 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and maintains a top speed above 200 km/h.

Standard safety features include Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro, and adaptive LED headlights. For convenience, the R 12 nineT offers Keyless Ride, Ride Mode Pro (Rain, Road, Dynamic), and optional Comfort Package elements like Cruise Control and Heated Grips.

Available in a bold Black Storm Metallic finish, the R 12 nineT is priced at RM 124,500.00 (on-the-road, without insurance).

Flexible Financing and Ownership Benefits

BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia offers ownership plans starting at RM 1,158.00/month for the F 900 XR and RM 1,738.00/month for the R 12 nineT (based on 90% loan over 7 years). Buyers will also enjoy BMW Motorrad Malaysia’s 3-Year Warranty and Roadside Assistance Programmes, as well as access to premium servicing packages.
