Ferrari Enters the EV Era with Launch of First All-Electric Supercar

In a landmark moment for automotive history, Ferrari has officially announced its entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market. The iconic Italian automaker will unveil its first fully electric car on October 9, 2025, marking a bold step forward in its evolution while preserving the brand’s legacy of high-performance engineering and luxury.

A New Era Begins

Ferrari’s foray into electric mobility isn’t just a response to industry trends—it’s a statement of intent. The new model will be produced at the company’s state-of-the-art €200 million “e-building” in Maranello, Italy, a facility designed to align cutting-edge manufacturing with sustainability. The factory features solar energy systems, rainwater recycling, and advanced automation to meet Ferrari’s exacting standards for both performance and environmental responsibility.

What to Expect from the EV Ferrari

Though full technical specifications remain under wraps, early spy shots and insider reports suggest the electric Ferrari may take the form of a four-door grand tourer or crossover, breaking from the brand’s traditional two-door sports car formula. However, Ferrari is determined to ensure the electric model delivers the same “driving emotions and thrills” that have defined its combustion-engine lineup for decades.

To retain the visceral experience Ferrari drivers expect, engineers are developing a unique sound profile for the electric powertrain—an innovative move aimed at replicating the brand’s signature engine roar in a new, electrified form.

Strategic Vision for Electrification

Ferrari plans a gradual yet confident shift toward electrification. The initial production run of the EV will be limited, contributing to just 5% of total sales in 2026. By 2030, however, Ferrari aims for electric and hybrid models to make up 40% of its annual output. This approach reflects Ferrari’s desire to embrace change while maintaining the exclusivity and performance its customers demand.

Price and Availability

The electric Ferrari is expected to be priced at approximately $537,000, reinforcing its place in the ultra-luxury segment. Deliveries are slated to begin in 2026, following the vehicle’s highly anticipated October unveiling.

Final Thoughts

With this launch, Ferrari isn’t just adapting to a changing automotive landscape—it’s reshaping it. By combining cutting-edge EV technology with its hallmark craftsmanship, the company is poised to deliver an electric vehicle that remains unmistakably Ferrari.
