A Grand Launch at KL Tower
Malaysia’s electric vehicle market witnessed a major milestone today as Zeekr officially introduced the Zeekr 7X on 22 August 2025 at KL Tower. The event highlighted the brand’s arrival in the country with its first 800-volt electric SUV, promising a blend of technology, performance, and premium design. To mark the launch, Zeekr is hosting public test drives on 23 and 24 August, giving Malaysians the chance to experience the SUV firsthand.
Latest Pricing and Variants
Zeekr unveiled three distinct variants for Malaysia. The RWD Standard starts at RM179,800, making it an affordable entry into the premium EV segment. The RWD Long Range is priced at RM190,800, offering extended driving range. At the top, the AWD Performance is priced at RM226,800, catering to drivers who demand maximum power and speed.
Power and Range
The Standard and Long Range models feature a rear-mounted motor producing 310 kW (416 hp) and 440 Nm. The Standard is fitted with a 75 kWh LFP battery, delivering up to 480 km WLTP range and a 0–100 km/h sprint in about six seconds. The Long Range variant upgrades to a 100 kWh NMC battery, boosting range to 615 km WLTP while maintaining strong performance.
Performance Flagship
The AWD Performance variant takes driving excitement to the next level with dual motors generating 475 kW (637 hp) and 710 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, while still offering a respectable 543 km WLTP range.
Fast-Charging Technology
All three variants benefit from Zeekr’s 800-volt architecture. The Standard’s 75 kWh pack can charge from 10–80% in just 10.5 minutes at up to 450 kW. The 100 kWh packs in the Long Range and Performance versions achieve the same in about 16 minutes at up to 420 kW.
Premium Design and Features
The Zeekr 7X stands out with frameless doors, a floating roofline, and a panoramic glass roof, giving it a sleek and modern profile.
Inside, it features triple-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a full ADAS suite with seven airbags, and luxury upgrades across higher variants, including massage seats, a 21-speaker audio system, air suspension, and Nappa leather upholstery.
A New Competitor for Tesla and BYD
With its sharp pricing, rapid charging, and premium features, the Zeekr 7X positions itself as a serious rival to the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7. By offering powerful performance and luxury at competitive prices, Zeekr is set to reshape Malaysia’s premium EV landscape.
