Lamborghini Sees Small Profit Drop in 2025

Lamborghini, the renowned Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, reported a minor decline in its operating profit for the first half of 2025. The company attributed this setback primarily to unfavorable currency exchange effects, even as its core business fundamentals remained solid.

Revenue Remains Robust Despite Marginal Profit Decline

According to the official statement released on Tuesday, Lamborghini’s operating profit for the January-to-June period stood at €456 million. This figure marks a small drop compared to the €456 million recorded in the same period last year. Despite the unchanged profit margin, the company’s revenues rose slightly to €1.48 billion, up from €1.42 billion during the first half of 2024. The increase in revenue was driven by sustained demand for Lamborghini’s high-performance vehicles, but currency fluctuations, particularly involving the euro, diluted overall profitability.

Sales Volume Matches Record Levels

In terms of deliveries, Lamborghini maintained its strong momentum by selling 5,985 vehicles globally in the first six months of 2025.

This sales volume is consistent with last year’s performance, signaling that customer demand for the brand remains resilient despite economic uncertainties and shifting market conditions.

Hybrid Transition Marks New Chapter

The carmaker also reiterated its commitment to an electrified future. CEO Stephan Winkelmann highlighted that Lamborghini has entered a pivotal phase of transformation as it continues its transition toward hybrid technology. The company has already launched the Revuelto, its first hybrid model, and plans to debut two more hybrid vehicles before the end of the year. By 2028, Lamborghini aims to introduce its first fully electric model, aligning with the broader Volkswagen Group’s electrification strategy.

Global Economic Factors Shape Profit Margins

While the fundamentals of Lamborghini’s business remain strong, the brand, like many in the automotive sector, continues to be affected by broader global economic trends. Exchange rate volatility, inflationary pressures, and supply chain constraints have all played roles in shaping its financial results. Nevertheless, the consistent delivery figures and revenue growth suggest that Lamborghini is weathering these challenges effectively.
