From Virtual Dream to Real-World Innovation: The Full Story Behind the OMODA&JAECOO AiMOGA Robot

Wuhu, China, April 18, 2025 — A futuristic vision came to life on March 18, 2025, at the Intelligent Strategy Launch by Chery, the parent company of OMODA & JAECOO. Among a sea of cutting-edge displays, one figure stood out: a silver-gray humanoid robot that gracefully moved through the showroom. It introduced vehicle features, served refreshments, and even helped guests book test drives—delivering every action with a natural warmth and intelligent responsiveness that turned heads and captured hearts.

This wasn’t science fiction. This was the debut of the AiMOGA Robot, the first intelligent humanoid robot developed as part of the OMODA&JAECOO brand’s smart ecosystem. Now stationed at the OMODA C5 JOYSTAR 4S dealership in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the AiMOGA Robot represents not just a technological milestone, but a symbol of Chery’s bold transition from “intelligent manufacturing” to “intelligent service.”

But how did a virtual concept evolve into a physical humanoid that now walks among customers? This is the story of a digital avatar, a vision for the future, and the pioneering spirit that made it all possible.

Mornine: The Avatar That Started It All

The AiMOGA Robot’s journey begins in the digital realm. When OMODA was gearing up to launch the OMODA C5, the team imagined a new kind of brand representative—one that could resonate deeply with younger consumers, particularly Generation Z. This generation, raised on digital interactivity and immersed in the metaverse, craves experiences that feel both personal and futuristic.

Enter Mornine, a virtual persona crafted to bridge that gap. Designed through rounds of character development and modeling, Mornine became a recognizable figure in OMODA’s digital campaigns—appearing in promotional animations, livestreams, and across social media. She embodied the brand’s “intelligent face” in the virtual world.

But Chery’s vision extended beyond the screen. The question arose: What if Mornine could truly walk into the real world? That audacious idea became the foundation of the AiMOGA Robot project.

From Automotive Algorithms to Human-like Intelligence

The leap from virtual character to fully embodied humanoid robot required a fusion of disciplines—and Chery was uniquely positioned to make it happen. With its deep-rooted expertise in smart vehicle systems, the company was already at the forefront of autonomous driving, environmental perception, and electronic control systems. These same technologies provided the groundwork for the AiMOGA Robot’s development.

In an era of rapid progress in large-scale AI models and end-to-end algorithms, the boundaries between intelligent vehicles and humanoid robots are disappearing. By repurposing core capabilities from the automotive domain, Chery enabled the AiMOGA Robot to perform complex tasks in the real world.

Furthermore, Chery’s existing supply chain and manufacturing infrastructure—originally designed for vehicle production—provided a robust backbone for rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment of the robot in commercial settings.

From Prototype to Public Debut

The development of the AiMOGA Robot advanced rapidly:

By 2025, it had entered commercial service at a 4S dealership in Kuala Lumpur, officially transitioning from an R&D prototype to an operational, real-world service agent.

A Name that Bridges the Ancient and the Future

The name “Mo Jia”, which informs the English brand name AiMOGA, is a thoughtful fusion of philosophy and innovation.

In English, AiMOGA combines “Artificial Intelligence” with “Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm,” representing a blend of AI strategy, adaptability, and futuristic ambition. It reflects the brand’s global outlook and its deep commitment to technological excellence.

The Future: A Humanoid Partner for Everyday Life

The AiMOGA Robot’s role will continue to evolve. Its next stop: the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, where it will be a central feature at the OMODA&JAECOO booth. There, it will interact with attendees and introduce the brand’s latest New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)—including the OMODA C7 SHS, JAECOO J5 BEV, and the upgraded 2025 OMODA C5—while explaining the newest SHS (Super Hybrid System) technologies.

Looking ahead, the AiMOGA Robot is poised to expand beyond car dealerships and enter a broad range of public and private spaces:

With its growing ability to engage in empathetic interaction, language comprehension, multimodal generation, and delicate physical operations, the AiMOGA Robot is set to become much more than a brand ambassador—it will be a companion, a guide, and a partner in everyday life.
