TRAFFIC DIVERSION & FULL ROAD CLOSURES IN CONJUNCTION WITH OFFICIAL VISIT BY THE PRESIDENT OF CHINA

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 April 2025

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), through the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), will implement full road closures and diversions on selected major routes from 15 to 17 April 2025, in conjunction with the official visit of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.

A total of 17 major routes across Putrajaya, KLIA, and the Klang Valley will be temporarily closed for 30 to 45 minutes per closure to facilitate the smooth and secure passage of the official delegation. Affected roads will be reopened once the delegation has cleared the area.

The road closures will take place in phases across key locations, including:

To ensure operational efficiency, a total of 378 police personnel comprising senior officers and ground units will be deployed. Responsibilities will include VIP escort operations, traffic management, and on-ground law enforcement.

JSPT urges all road users to plan alternate routes, avoid affected areas during the mentioned times, and follow instructions from officers on duty. Public cooperation is essential to facilitate a smooth and safe visit.

This visit underscores the strong diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China and is expected to include high-level bilateral engagements.
