Bangkok, Thailand, 10 November 2025 — Toyota Motor Thailand has officially unveiled the 9th-generation Hilux, opening a new chapter for one of the world’s most trusted pickup trucks.
Known for its Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR), the latest Hilux combines decades of proven toughness with a bold, modern design. It now embraces both traditional and electric mobility.
Built for the World, Born in Thailand

The new Hilux was developed under Toyota’s Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) project. Thailand has remained the hub of pickup development for global markets since the IMV initiative began in 2004.
“The IMV story proves that global success starts with local strength,” said Anyarat Sutthibenjakul, Regional Chief Engineer of Toyota Motor Asia. “This Hilux shows years of listening, learning, and designing for real-world needs.”
Engineering teams in Thailand and Australia worked closely to make the Hilux tougher, smarter, and more expressive than ever.
Two Powertrains, One Mission

For the first time, Toyota offers the Hilux with both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) options.
The BEV delivers instant torque and quiet performance while keeping its legendary off-road, towing, and payload capabilities. The ICE model serves markets where conventional fuel remains essential. This ensures no customer or region is left behind.
Smarter, Safer, and Connected

Inside, the Hilux includes Toyota Safety Sense 3 (TSS 3) with improved pre-collision and lane-keeping functions.
Other highlights:
- Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) and Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) for better visibility on any terrain.
- Next-generation infotainment with smartphone integration and connected services to enhance ownership experience.
A Partner for Life
Since 1968, Hilux has been more than a truck — it is a partner for life. From farmers and builders to families, Hilux has evolved alongside its drivers.
“Hilux is made by the people, for the people,” said Simon Humphries, Chief Branding Officer and Head of Design at Toyota Motor Corporation. “It represents Toyota’s belief in Mobility for All.”
Ready for the Future
The new Hilux shows Toyota’s commitment to carbon neutrality, local collaboration, and customer trust. With rugged engineering, refined comfort, and future-ready technology, the 9th-generation Hilux is stronger, smarter, and ready for any journey — in Thailand and around the world.
