PROTON has officially begun accepting bookings for the All-New PROTON X50, marking the start of a highly anticipated chapter in the SUV’s evolution. The announcement was made during a vibrant showcase at Setia City Mall, themed “All-New PROTON X50: READY TO ROAR.” With this, the new model builds upon the legacy of the original X50, which has dominated Malaysia’s B-segment SUV market since its debut in 2020 with over 140,000 units sold.

The All-New PROTON X50 is the result of collaboration between PROTON and Geely, also known globally as the Binyue or Coolray. Cumulatively, more than 1.2 million units have been sold across 51 countries. The new model raises the bar in design, safety, performance, and connectivity, including a 14.6-inch infotainment screen with the world’s first Bahasa Melayu voice recognition system. Its 1.5-litre turbocharged i-GT engine delivers 133 kW and 290 Nm, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds—faster than its predecessor. It also boasts a 4.7% increase in fuel efficiency, reinforcing PROTON’s push for intelligent mobility.
