Mercedes-Benz Recognises the Best in Southeast Asia

A Night Honouring the Best in Service Excellence

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently hosted its prestigious Regional Service Excellence Award (SEAward) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, celebrating the outstanding achievements of retail service personnel across the South East Asia II (SEA II) region. Over 600 delegates from countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, the Philippines, and more, attended the event either in person or virtually.

Commitment to Customer-Centric Luxury

Amanda Zhang, CEO & President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Head of Region SEA II, emphasized the importance of exceptional service in creating a luxurious customer journey. She commended the unwavering commitment of retail partners who continuously raise the bar for customer satisfaction and brand experience. Zhang reiterated Mercedes-Benz’s dedication to supporting and celebrating the teams behind these achievements.

A Testament to Passion and Innovation

Echoing her sentiment, Edmin Naidoo, Vice President of Customer Services for Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II, highlighted that the SEAward goes beyond recognition—it is a symbol of the company’s relentless drive for excellence. Naidoo praised the passion, dedication, and innovation displayed by the service teams who consistently deliver the Mercedes-Benz brand promise.

Recognition Across Prestigious Categories

The award ceremony spotlighted achievements in four main categories: the Platinum Star Award, General Distributor Award, Super League Award, and the Champion League Award. These accolades represent the highest honours for delivering the best products, services, and customer experiences across the SEA II region.

Top Honours for Malaysian Retailers

Among the night’s biggest winners were Malaysian retail partners. Hap Seng Star Kinrara was named Champion in the Champion League Award, joined by PT Suri Motor Indonesia and Cycle & Carriage Industries Pandan Loop from Singapore. The Super League Award was also awarded to Hap Seng Star Kota Kinabalu and PT Hartono Raya Motor Surabaya from Indonesia, highlighting their exceptional service standards.

Champion League and Super League Winners

Within Malaysia, Hap Seng Star dominated both Champion and Super League rankings, with other high performers including Hap Seng Star Melaka, Bukit Tinggi, Kuching, and Asbenz Stern Kuantan. Indonesia and Singapore also demonstrated strong performances, with PT Suri Motor Indonesia and multiple Cycle & Carriage outlets earning recognition.

Platinum Star and General Distributor Awards

The Platinum Star Award spotlighted individuals from service centres across the region for their leadership and excellence in customer service. Meanwhile, the General Distributor Award was presented to Diesel & Motor Engineering from Sri Lanka for their outstanding contributions.

A Programme Driving Service Excellence

With over 2,000 retail service personnel under its belt, the Mercedes-Benz SEAward programme aims to continually motivate and raise the standard of service quality. The recognition is a reflection of each individual’s influence on the ownership experience and the brand’s commitment to excellence.
