Maranello, 13 May 2025 – This weekend marked the conclusion of the F50 Legacy Tour 2025, an exclusive Ferrari event celebrating the iconic F50 and its owners. Launched at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show to commemorate Ferrari’s 50th anniversary, the F50 remains a symbol of the Prancing Horse’s extreme engineering prowess.
A Journey Through Italy’s Heartland

Over 20 teams from 10 countries participated in this prestigious event, covering a total of 675 kilometers over three days. The tour wove through Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, offering breathtaking drives through towns like Grosseto, Porto Santo Stefano, and Siena, before culminating in Maranello on 9 May. Collectively, the F50s amassed nearly 15,000 kilometers, a testament to their durability and the unwavering passion of their owners even three decades after production.
Meeting the Mind Behind the V12

Among the highlights of the tour was an exclusive session with Paolo Martinelli, the engineer responsible for developing the F50’s legendary V12 engine. This powerplant represented the most direct technological transfer from Formula 1 to a Ferrari road car, embodying the purest racing DNA in a street-legal machine.
The Grand Finale at Fiorano Circuit
The event concluded with a ceremonial parade and an honorary lap at Ferrari’s iconic Fiorano Circuit. Since its inauguration in 1972, Fiorano has been the proving ground for every Ferrari, including the F50, making it a fitting stage to celebrate this milestone.
The Ferrari F50: An Icon Revisited

Unveiled in 1995, the F50 was designed as the ultimate expression of Ferrari’s 1990s supercar philosophy. Featuring a naturally aspirated 65° V12 engine derived directly from Formula 1, the car’s longitudinal mid-rear layout and carbon fibre monocoque chassis showcased cutting-edge technology of its time. Advanced aerodynamics, a unique suspension with horizontally mounted push-rod dampers, and a removable Targa roof brought race car purity to the road. Only 349 units were produced, deliberately set at one less than market demand to ensure exclusivity.
Pirelli’s Custom Tribute: The P Zero Corsa System
For this Legacy Tour, Pirelli crafted a special edition of the P Zero Corsa System tires, uniquely bearing the “Ferrari F50 – Legacy Tour 2025” logo on the sidewalls—a first for Pirelli. These tires, sized 245/35 R18 front and 335/30 R18 rear, are part of Pirelli’s Collezione range, designed for classic and youngtimer vehicles. With modern compounds enhancing safety and reliability, the P Zero Corsa System maintains the sportiness of its era while improving performance on both road and track.
F50 Technical Specifications

At its heart, the F50 is powered by a 4.7-litre V12 engine producing 520 hp at 8500 rpm and 471 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The car’s lightweight construction results in a dry weight of just 1230 kg, enabling a top speed of 325 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.87 seconds. The six-speed manual transmission with a dual-plate clutch offers an unfiltered, mechanical connection to the road, further amplifying the driving experience.
