Malaysians eligible for the latest round of RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid can now enjoy a simplified process—no application or registration is needed. The Ministry of Finance confirmed that recipients under the program only need to present their MyKad when making purchases at participating retail outlets.
Automatic Access Through MyKad

According to the ministry’s statement, the RM100 cash assistance is distributed automatically to recipients identified under Phase 3 of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) program. These individuals do not need to apply or fill out any forms. Their MyKad functions as a debit mechanism at selected stores. Once used at the counter, the MyKad will be verified and the RM100 balance deducted accordingly as they shop for essential items.
Valid for One Month Only
The RM100 balance is only valid between July 22 and August 31, 2025. Any unused amount after this period will be forfeited, so the public is encouraged to make their purchases within the stated time frame. The ministry has also clarified that this mechanism is intended to improve the delivery efficiency of government assistance, ensuring it reaches the right beneficiaries without the need for complex procedures.
Increased Retail Participation

The government has also expanded the number of retail partners to allow broader accessibility. Among the participating chains are Mydin, Giant, Econsave, Lotus’s, 99 Speedmart, and others. These stores have been integrated with the MyKad verification system and can process SARA purchases on the spot.
Part of a Larger Government Initiative

The RM100 SARA aid is part of the government’s continuing effort to ease the burden of low-income households amidst the rising cost of living. The Finance Ministry reiterated its commitment to delivering targeted subsidies directly to those who need them most. The STR program, with which the SARA aid is aligned, is one of the flagship initiatives under Malaysia MADANI aimed at financial inclusivity and welfare improvement.
Public Encouraged to Check Eligibility
Although no application is needed, the public can still verify their STR status through the official STR website. Only those confirmed under Phase 3 will be entitled to this RM100 SARA benefit.
